When it comes to my makeup -- I definitely prefer a very simple - clean cut look. But ... even though I take the less is more approach, it never looks boring -- thanks to my classic black winged eyeliner. No matter if I choose to go thin and subtle or thick and bold...         I keep the rest of my makeup colors natural so that my eyes can steal the focus but still allowing some of my other favorite features, like my lips, to shine and grab attention too.

Here are some key tips to achieving this Gorgeous andUniversally Flattering Eye Look...
(Bonus: Beautiful and Inspiring photos)

For starters - don't be afraid to go as bold as you want with liner, especially if you're keeping the rest of your makeup simple. At first I felt silly when I drew on my liner a little thicker, but once I saw how many smiles and compliments I got - not to mention the satisfaction I felt glancing in the mirror - from then on I haven't thought twice about it (people really don't pay as much attention as you think to the thickness of your wing...except maybe the ones on your back  ;).

No.1Use a black Liquid Liner with a very thin felt tip, this will give you the most control and prettier results(If you're a beginner... start with a pencil to get your desired shape and size of the line and wing. Then trace over with your liquid product).

No.2The firmer you press the brush - the thicker the line will be. For a thin line - do the opposite and gently guide the brush across for that barely-there au natural vibe.

No.3Be sure to follow the natural shape of your eye. What you want is enhancement of your own beauty... not faux plastic surgery.

No.4  For the 'Wing' part of your line...Start at the outer corner and work back toward your inner eye, using a light sketching technique with the pen in short strokes.

No.5  As you get closer to the inner lash line, draw a thinner line. You want the effect of the liner to be thin to thick from the inner corner of the eye to the outer.

No.6 For easiest application... use a hands free mirror that sits just below your face so you're looking down into the glass and your eye lid is relaxed. I find it also helps to tilt my head back as well as I look down... seems to feel more natural and help the process go more smoothly.

No.7 Liner can change the shape of your eyes - widen or open the eyes andLift the face.

No.8 Your brows can either make or break a makeup look with a bold eye. A strong brow is the secret to getting the most out of your look... it draws all the attention to this area creating the most alluring Bedroom Eyes ever.

No.9 Concentrating the color on only the outer parts of the eye will maximize your eye size the most...Smudging it will do it! Just a quick little smudge to the outer edges or even to the bottom can really make all of the difference in the world on how beautiful your eyes look!

No.10  Line product as close to your lashes as possible. Any empty spaces that show a flesh color along your lashline will alter the entire effect a Cat-eye gives. This also crosses over to another tip -- Use a black kohl pencil liner underneath your top lashes, along the waterline, to fill in any gaps and bring together your lashes and the liner as one, creating that thick- luscious lash look we all die for.

No.11  Another eyeliner trick that I love to do is thick, thick lines. Whether you are doing a cat eye or winged eyeliner, thick lines are very in right now! Plus, they can really make your lashes look that much thicker and fuller!

No.12  Very Important: When you are finished lining - continue to look down for at least 15 to 30 seconds to allow drying time. I always do my eyes before my blush/bronzer or lips so I know I won't be tempted to look up.
I love this look...is it not gorgeous?

No.13  Use your Pinkie for a Gun stand-- holding that pinkie promise against your cheek with a loaded ink gun in your hand can be what saves your face (and your morning) from a huge mess ;)

No.14  Q tips are your new best friend... Even the veterans of liquid liner still makes mistakes.BUT.. my biggest secret weapon is CONCEALER --- Use it to wipe out any transfer or smudging and a plus is that your liner will look sharper lined against concealer and perfected skin.

No.15  Don't get stuck thinking only black looks best... I take spells where my MaKe UP FoR EvErMake Up For Ever Matte Brown Liner is all I want to wear, especially for daytime. It creates the same effect but in a much softer way.  Also I love Matte Grey for this as well (MUFE).

No.16 The thin line. This is by far the one that I use the most, but it's also a great liner to keep it subtle and teasing. This look can be used for date night, the office or anytime at all!

No.17 If you are looking for a way to make your eyes appear bigger, brighter and more awake, grab a white eyeliner! This small addition to your make up collection can really spice up your look. Wearing eyeliner on your bottom waterline can make your eyes appear farther apart, therefore creating the illusion of awake eyes. Not only that but you can also add white eyeliner to the corners of your eyes to make them appear wide and accentuated.

Craving a kiss of color.... ?  Pinks are perfect for pairing with a Black Lined
Cat-Eye. There is a pink out there for everyone and it is what I find to be one of the easiest brights to pull off for any skin tone.

(Here's me with a more Orang-y coated Bright Lip... I was obsessed last summer and I believe the whole -Orange is the new Pink- is sticking around for another boiling-hot season this year :)
